Meet the staff

Covering the Nottingham, North Nottingham and some Derby areas we currently have Ann Hough-Stead and Nicola Liburd.
Ann has been working for Motivation & Co. for over 10 years now. She loves delivering the sessions each week and has an abundance of passion for her role She has built up some beautiful relationships with our homes and clients, and they each look forward to her visiting each time. Ann is due to celebrate her 60th next year and we hope that you can all help make that special for her.
Nicola has been with Motivation & Co. just under a year, but in that short time she has brought a wealth of passion and enthusiasm. We have extended our client base throughout the care sector, covering Residential, Dementia Units and Mental Health, to name a few. Nicola has developed a great bond and has had great results from delivering the Motivation & Co. sessions. We love hearing your feedback and stories from your sessions. Just recently we had Donna (manager) from Victoria Cottages Sun Care Homes, ring to give me an amazing story from their mornings session. Nicola (Our Motivational Therapist) delivered a brilliantly engaging session, and Donna was amazed at the results. She told me of a lady who was predominately mute, interacted and participated throughout, as did the rest of the clients, especially those that don't usually oblige. Donna was astounded with Nicola's Motivation & Co. session.
Getting ready for Xmas

Motivation & Co Nottingham have been busy prepping the prizes for their Xmas/Festive sessions taking place throughout December. We take our sessions very seriously and with all the research, expertise and more importantly FUN we have in each session, we like to encourage a little friendly competition, laughter and spread the joy even further throughout December. Well done Motivation&Co Nottingham getting well prepared, we hope you all enjoy.

Care Home Open day 16th June 2017

Care homes are encouraged to celebrate friendships that have developed between residents, families, friends and staff, as well as with their neighbours, to reinforce how they should be an integral part of their local community.
Good care homes do great things all year round and this one day is to highlight what you do within your local communities.
I have been invited along to Wren Hall Nursing Home in Selston, to visit them and join in with thier open day activities. I am very excited to attend.
As part of the discussions that took place during our most recent Activity Training event, there were some great ideas shared. From Doll Therapy, to visiting Donkeys, it was also discussed that
After some recent feedback from some of our Motivation & Co. training days, I have set up an open forum for Activity Organisers on Facebook. For Carers, Mental health nurses and the like, working within the care industry to discuss and feedback ideas of activities they run within their own homes and fundraising ideas too.This is a public group, to offer help and support to what can often be quite an isolating role.
